Before the Shoot

Your boudoir experience doesn't begin when you arrive at my studio.

It begins weeks earlier, with emails, conversations, and planning that make the session itself feel effortless.

This preparation matters more than most people realise. By the time you walk through the door, you should already feel supported, informed, and quietly excited. Not anxious about unknowns.

Lily described it perfectly: "From the first message I felt completely supported. We started creating a mood board, choosing colours and outfits, and having him just a quick email or text away made everything so easy."

That accessibility is intentional. When questions surface at odd hours, about which lingerie to choose, whether a certain colour will work, what to expect on the day, you shouldn't have to wait days for answers. I'm usually back to you within hours.

Elizabeth appreciated this while planning her bridal boudoir session: "He quickly answered all my many questions before I decided to book my photo shoot." She had a lot of questions. That's completely fair. This is a vulnerable, intimate experience. You deserve thorough answers.

But the support doesn't stop at emails.

Before booking, Elizabeth visited the studio for a conversation about the style of photos she wanted and to meet my makeup artist to discuss hair and makeup ideas. That visit meant she arrived on her session day already familiar with the space, already clear on the vision, and already comfortable with the team.

Sophie and I exchanged emails for months before her second session. Ideas about different styles, which outfits to consider, how to achieve the look she was imagining. That back-and-forth meant we walked into the session completely aligned.

Grace noticed the same thing: "From the first chat we had in his studio to his regular check-ins, he got to know exactly what style I was wanting and I knew exactly what was going to happen next."

That clarity transforms the experience. Instead of arriving nervous about surprises, you arrive knowing the plan. You've already chosen your outfits. You've already discussed your comfort levels. You've already seen the studio and know what to expect.

All that remains is to relax and enjoy it.

I know this level of communication takes more time. More emails. More back-and-forth. But it's worth it. Women who feel prepared feel confident. And confident women photograph beautifully.

If you're someone who needs information to feel at ease, you'll find it here. Ask every question you have. I'll answer them all.
