Boudoir Questions You’re Too Embarrassed to Ask

You’re at work, sneaking a scroll through boudoir portfolios, pretending you're definitely not looking at semi-naked thumbnails. You’re curious, excited, maybe a bit nervous and then the questions hit.
You know, those questions. The ones you’d never ask out loud… but always end up DMing me at 11:47 pm.
No shame here. Nothing’s off-limits. Let’s answer them all.
1. What if I’m on my period?
Totally fine. Use a tampon or cup (pads can show through sheer outfits). If you're cramping hard or just not feeling it, rescheduling is always free. Your comfort comes first.
2. How much grooming should I do “down there”?
That’s 100% your choice. Many clients go for a tidy Brazilian, some leave it natural, all are welcome. If you wax, try to do it 5–7 days before the shoot so any redness settles.
3. I’m classy by day, spicy by night, can we show that side too?
Hell yes. Bring the latex, rope, or stilettos. We'll talk boundaries first and keep it sexy and tasteful. Think elegant edge, not shock factor.
4. Can you make me look hotter?
You're already stunning. I use great lighting, guided posing, and gentle retouching (no plastic-skin fakery) to help you see it too. Nothing overdone—just elevated, not altered.
5. Do I have to get naked?
Nope. Boudoir doesn’t mean stripping down. Some clients wear cozy jumpers, some go implied topless, and a few choose full nude. You’re always in charge.
6. How clean is the studio bedding and props?
Squeaky. Everything is washed or sanitised after every shoot—sheets, robes, pillows, even faux fur throws. No sketchy sheepskin vibes here.
7. Will my photos end up online?
Only if you sign a release. Around 30% of clients give permission to share, the rest stay completely private and stored securely.
8. Do you photograph plus-size or post-partum bodies?
Absolutely. Size 6 or size 26, every body deserves to be seen and celebrated. I guide you through poses and wardrobe that flatter your fave features.
9. I have no idea how to pose. Help?
That’s my job. I demo every move (prepare to laugh), adjust the tiniest angles, and show you the back of the camera so you know you look amazing before we move on.
10. Can my partner be in the shoot?
Yep. Couples boudoir is one of my most popular add-ons. We’ll shoot intimate, connected poses, not cheesy magazine covers.
11. How long is a shoot?
Plan for about three hours total:
1 hour hair and makeup
1 hour shoot
30 minutes for snacks and same-day image reveal
12. What lingerie looks best on camera?
Solid black, jewel tones, bodysuits, and high-waist knickers are camera gold. Skip tiny prints, they tend to warp under studio lighting.
13. Will I see my photos before I have to buy anything?
Absolutely. We do a same-day reveal on a 55” screen. You only buy what you love. Most clients in 2025 spent around $1,785, but there’s no minimum.
